I'm not much for hard and fast labeling, though, and these are not totally accurate. A lot of cosmetic dentistry can also be useful when it comes to restorative dentistry. For instance, suppose we make your teeth white, which is cosmetic. However, while whitening, we also make them straight with the new Invisalign system, and you will hardly notice. You can now enjoy straighter teeth, enhancing your looks and smile with the added advantage of having healthy teeth.

Our veneers are very thin so we can minimize how much natural teeth you lose during the process. We can change the length, the color and the shape of your natural teeth and the results are incredible without having to make extreme changes to the teeth you already had.

Now, take this photo of Peter Frampton. Maybe you never heard of him, but there was an album Mr. Frampton came out with that helped him reach superstardom. Unusually for a live album, it sold 16 million copies.

That was more than 30 years ago, in 1976, when you couldn't go anywhere and not have to deal with Peter Frampton and songs from his album Frampton Comes Alive.

You may be wondering where all this Peter Frampton business is leading to. Well, I really think our superstar friend has great teeth and despite the fact that I've never been close up let alone treated him, he could have had dental veneers or what we are looking at may be genuine teeth.

You all know that I have never done something like Manhattan dental veneers for Peter but you know something? We could. I would take away spaces between his teeth unless there was nothing to close up. If I was working on you, I would make your front teeth uniform in color, so that the front teeth are even.
