Previous to putting in an implant for any of my patients, their gums and jaw get a thorough inspection. I have to guarantee that they are in good physical shape. If they need some work, we must do that prior to doing anything else. Flushing dentist Fotolia_7158616_XS.jpg

If it's just a matter of a little blood on the gums, you will only need to swallow a couple of pills to correct the problem. But if it's something more major, such as the gum being worn down, or if you have major problems with your jaw, then it may be necessary to do some more work ahead of the implant being mounted.

>From time to time I use bones or bone prosthetics to make the mounting location for the Flushing dental implant root prepared for the procedure. Firmness in the base is critical ahead of beginning the implant process. It's similar to what you do when you want to build a house. You can't do much of anything until you know the foundation is solid and won't disintegrate over time.

As soon as the jaw is set, it's time to surgically attach the implant roots. In this implant center in Flushing, I take my time during this part of the procedure. What happens at this stage of the procedure will tell us how long the implant will stay.

I will have my patients return every now and then, so I can check whether the jawbone and soft tissue are going to reject the implant. We inspect implants using x-rays, palpation and resonance frequency analysis. Then we will know if it's time to go to the next step of fastening on the crown or if we should delay in order to strengthen the base more.

When you come to see me at my Flushing dental implant office, you will surely observe how conscientious I am right out of the gate. It is very important to me to know that the work I do for you and the crown you get will endure for many years to come.
